Violet Armeni

Violet Armeni, age 98 of Conneaut, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly Monday morning July 17, 2023 at the Ashtabula County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Violet was born on September 12, 1924, in Conneaut, the daughter of James and Angeline DiPlacido Armeni. She was a 1943 graduate of Conneaut High School and went to work in Cleveland with the State Examiner’s Office of Ohio as an auditor for the state of Ohio.

Violet was very active at St. Frances Cabrini Church for many years. She was the first secretary, bookkeeper for the church and Mother Cabrini School, receiving no money for her time but volunteering countless hours for the church and her parish family. She loved to go shopping and exercising. She was a very kind and generous person, deeply devoted to her family.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Arthur Armeni and Joseph Armeni and a sister Sarah Armeni.

Violet is survived by her sister Mary Armeni and her honorary nieces and nephews and several cousins.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, at St Frances Cabrini Church, 744 Mill St, Conneaut with Fr. Philip Miller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.

Memorial contributions in Violet’s memory can be made to Corpus Christi Parish Memorial Fund, 744 Mill Street, Conneaut.
