Virginia J. Scott, age 94 of Conneaut, passed away Sunday evening, November 7, 2021, at UH Conneaut Medical Center.
Virginia was born on July 28, 1927, in Conneaut, the daughter of Michael and Katherine Wallitich Sallick. Following high school, Virginia married her late husband, Walter Scott.
Virginia retired from the Conneaut School System as a Paraprofessional in 1989 and was able to enjoy 32 years of retirement. Virginia loved the outdoors and visiting Lake Erie daily and watching all the various activities it has to offer. She enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her family and the newest member- her great-granddaughter Vanessa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter Scott, son Thomas Scott, sister Mildred Dolbow and brothers Paul Sallick, Michael Sallick, George Sallick, and William Sallick.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Sandra (Mark) Laitinen of Conneaut, granddaughter Lisa (Jeremie) Buehner, grandson Scott Laitinen and great-grandaughter Vanessa Buehner all of Conneaut, niece Kathleen Vespe, great niece Stacy Vespe, great nephew James Vespe along with several other nieces and nephews.
At Virginia’s request, private graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memory Gardens where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
The family would like to thank the nurses at UH Conneaut Medical Center and Sandra for the special care given to Virginia.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Raisian Funeral Home.
