Andrew R. Moore, age 76 of Jefferson, Ohio died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at his daughter's home, with his family at his side.

Andrew was born on December 1, 1937 in Herminie, PA the son of Andrew R. and Inez (McGrew) Moore. Following high school, Andrew served in the National Guard during the Cuban missile crisis and was later honorably discharged. Andrew retired from Ford Motor Company, Brookpark Plant, after 42 years of service. He then went on to work with the Ashtabula County Engineers, working for the road crew performing various jobs and mowing.

He was a 21 year member of the Covenant Assembly Church in Jefferson, Ohio. Andrew was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and he also had a special beagle "Samantha", who he trained for rabbit and pheasant hunting and tracking. Along with being a Steelers fan, Andrew enjoyed traveling to Florida and walking the beaches in Venice with his wife, Peggy and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, John Bishop, a sister, Marybell Jablonsky, and his adoptive parents, John and Sophie Zacchetti.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Peggy (Limpert) Moore, whom he married October 4, 1958, a son, Andrew III and Gigi Moore of Medina, Ohio, daughters, Sheryl and Dave Barnum of North Kingsville, Ohio, Deborah and Dean Rapchak of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Lisa and Charles Kern of Grafton, Ohio and Lynn Moore and Paul of Ashtabula, Ohio, sisters, Josephine and Cecil Smith of Overton, Kansas, and Helen "Honey" Palangio of Damascus, Arkansas, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

At the family's request there will be no calling hours observed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Journey Community Church in Central Park Hall, 104 East Jefferson Street, Jefferson, Ohio.

The family requests any flowers or memorial contributions in memory of Andrew be sent to 4008 East Center St, North Kingsville, Ohio.

Arrangements are being handled by the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut, Ohio.
