Frank M. Mikolay Jr., age 59 of Jefferson, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at his residence.

Frank was born on January 18, 1955 in Quebec City, Province of Quebec, Canada the son of Frank and Margaret Mischick Mikolay.

Frank entered the United States Army during the Vietnam War and proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged in 1972.

Frank was a great mechanic and fabricator. He belonged to the U.A.W. Sheet Metal Local #33 and was a welder for most of his life.

He loved to work on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and cars. He could customize anything especially motorbikes and go carts.

Frank always had a soft spot for the elderly and children. He loved to spend time with his family and friends but most of all his two girls were the love of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father Frank J. Mikolay, Sr.

Frank is survived by his mother, Margaret Mikolay of Kingsville, two daughters, Heather and Michael Pollack of Chardon, Sarah and Shawn Worley of Norwalk, a granddaughter Avery, brothers Daniel Mikolay of Vancouver, Ca, Paul and Marla Mikolay of Austin, TX, sisters, Ramona McCullough of Manassas, VI, Rosalie and Paul Specht Jr of Painesville, Ohio, Merri Jo and Michael Meehan of Columbian Station, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place in the vestibule of St. Andrew’s Church, 3700 Route 193, Kingsville, Ohio on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Church.

A Private family burial service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2104 at 12 noon at Lulu Falls Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Kingsville, with the American Legion Honor Squad conducting Military Honors.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the family. They can be mailed to 47 Williams Ave, Norwalk, Ohio 44857.
