Leann Swallen Jenks Brown, age 67, passed away January 18, 2015 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA after losing a battle with liver disease. Leann was born on July 21, 1947 in Mansfield, Ohio the daughter of Donovan and Helen Swallen. She grew up in Mansfield and Toledo, Ohio and attended college at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, MI. There she met her first husband, Jeff Jenks, with whom she had Julie in 1973 and Jeremy in 1980. Jeff and Leann became guardians to Monica and Tanya Blaich in 1989. She resided in Lake County for most of her life. She met Jonathan Brown in 2000, whom she went on to marry and relocate to Loganville, Ga in 2008.

Leann was a devoted mother and grandmother, a dedicated homemaker and a dear friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Jean Bates (Tom).

Leann is survived by her husband, Jonathan Brown, and a mother to Julie (Travis) Lefelhoc and Jeremy (Meagan) Jenks, guardian to Tanya (Bryan) McInerney and Monica (Christopher) Churchill, and a grandmother/step-grandmother to fifteen grandchildren.

A Memorial Service was held at Lutheran Church of Redeemer in Atlanta, GA on January 24, 2015.
