Myron A. Goode

Myron A. Goode, age 86 of Ashtabula, died Sunday evening, June 22, 2014 at Jefferson Healthcare, with his wife by his side.

Myron was born on May 17, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Edgar and Edna Dey Goode. He was a 1946 graduate of Kingsville High School. He then entered the United States Army, where he proudly served as a Sgt. MP until he was honorably discharged in 1948. Myron was the owner/operator of Goode Gas Station on the corner of Routes 84 and 193. He worked for many years delivering fuel oil and gasoline, until he retired from Western Reserve in 1983.

Myron was a member of St. Andrew's Church in Sheffield and the Kingsville American Legion Neal Post 743. He enjoyed woodworking and making furniture. He especially liked making things for the church. Myron loved spending time with his wife and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Bruce Goode, brother, Edward Goode and sister, Jeanne Plants.

Myron is survived by his wife, Helen M. Jablecki Goode, whom he married June 14, 1952 at St. Andrew's Church by Father J. J. Elias, son, Gary Goode of The Colony, Texas, daughter, Susan and David Jost of Carrollton, Texas, brother, Jerry and Patricia Goode of Troy, Ohio, grandchildren, Andrea Ockert and Benjamin Jost, along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the RAISIAN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, with Father John Sheridan of St. Andrew's Church officiating.

Burial will follow at Kellogsville Cemetery, where the American Legion Honor Squad Neal Post 743 will conduct military honors.
