Phyllis A. Dickinson, age 83 of Conneaut, died Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Altercare at Nobles Pond in Canton, Ohio.

Phyllis was born in Conneaut, June 3, 1930 the daughter of Mike and Elizabeth Toth Bartone. She was a graduate of Conneaut High Class of 1948. She married her late husband Dean Dickinson on May 28, 1949 and resided in Conneaut her entire life. She worked at the former Loblaws grocery store as a cashier for over ten years.

Phyllis was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and attended mass at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. She loved to roller skate with her husband and friends and enjoyed making Italian pizzelles.

As a child of 12, she returned to Italy with her parents for a short time. She volunteered many hours at St. Joseph Cemetery taking care of the flower beds and attending to graves of many people. Phyllis loved her dogs, and "Cheyenne" was her favorite.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dean Dickinson (2005) and an Uncle Bert Toth.

Phyllis is survived by her son Thomas B. Dickinson, a brother Michael J and Marianne Bartone of Conneaut, three sisters, Delores and Gene Garn of Erie, Pa., Antoinette and William Biggins of Bellevue, Ohio, Mary Jane and William Miller of Conneaut and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at St. Francis Cabrini Roman Catholic Church, 480 State St, Conneaut. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Conneaut.
