Vivian Marie Moroski, age 83 of Conneaut, died Sunday evening, January 25, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Vivian was born on March 21, 1931 in Conneaut the daughter of Louis and Carmella (Palumbo) Gustaferro. She was a 1949 graduate from Conneaut High School. She worked for several years at the Conneaut Telephone Company and for nine years at the Conneaut Savings and Loan Bank.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish ,the Cara Mia Club and former member of the Altar Rosary Society. Vivian volunteered many, many hours throughout the years at both St. Frances Cabrini and St. Mary Parishes. She also assisted in driving the Oblate Sisters to various appointments. Vivian was well known as a "giver", always helping people whenever she could. She especially loved being with her children, granddaughter, sisters and their families throughout the years. She loved animals and especially her daughter Renae's pets.
Vivian and her sisters traveled to Italy and visited their relatives in the Campobossa region. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and loved to cook Italian food for them. She loved to shop and spend time with her very special granddaughter, Megan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Miguel Gustaferro, and sisters, Nancy Rawlings and Linda Reinhart.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Edward Moroski of Conneaut, whom she married April 25, 1953, son, Michael and Vicki Moroski of Saratoga Springs, NY, daughter, Renae and Doug Volkman of Conneaut, sister, Mary Ann and Duane Rood of Conneaut, granddaughter, Megan Marie Matthews, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the Raisian Family Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Raisian Funeral Home, 581 Harbor Street, Conneaut, with Don Brickman of Grace Hospice officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Route 20, Conneaut.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Vivian's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the caregivers at Grace Hospice and all who helped Vivian throughout her illness.
