Bill married my childhood school friend Sue. I shared in their wedding, the birth of their children and the unfortunate death of his wife, Sue. We continued a friendship for 40 plus years. I watched all the heartaches and challenges of raising a family as a single Father. The love and pride he had for his family was admirable. He always made himself available to help family, friends, organizations and functions. I am sad this friendship has come to it's final journey and I can not be with you today. Bill will remain in my heart always. We have all lost someone special in our life. No one can truly share the sadness you now feel Jason. I am hoping the memories of your Dad will bring you peace. He was so very proud of you, Jennie and his grandsons. In the midst of all this pain and sorrow I hope you will find comfort in knowing that you were loved. Deepest sympathy to Jason, Katie, Jen and Family. You are in my prayers and thoughts. Please remember that love endures forever. Coxy, a great guy and friend. I've know him my whole life and I will miss him. He will be sadly missed by the people of his hometown. Not seeing Coxy around there, will be strange. To his family, I am sorry for your loss, he was a great guy.

We met when you married my childhood friend, Sue Ashman. I shared in your wedding, the birth of your children and the loss of Sue. So happy to be there to help through the challenges, struggles and happy memories. You will remain in my heart forever, Bill. Sorry I can not be there for this final journey to support Jason, Katie, Jen and family. Many have lost someone who held a special place in their life. Bill and I were both in the graduating class of Conneaut High School 1967. And he was always there helping, organizing and planning the reunions. But mostly I remember Bill as having a huge crush on me, always wanting to carry my books home from school and "chasing me" home. One Christmas, he hovered outside my door in the cold to deliver a Christmas present to me (a caddy of rollers!) We spent many wonderful times growing up in our Conneaut neighborhood and Bill will be missed by many!

My sincere condolences to the family. Bill was a pillar of support for my sister, Beverly. He called her every night. His frequent visits to Kitchener-Waterloo to see Beverly were a blessing. He will be sadly missed.
